Best day of year so far - 3rd round of Matrix Champs at Meadowlands and I didn't fancy my draw peg 12 in the deeps, but hope was soon restored when the gaffer said Bomb and Pellet works well. 5 hours later and 27 Carp for 168.0.0 I was a Happy Bunny.

3rd on the Day - but more importantly I'm now top of the pile with the last round at Barston in 3 weeks.........twitchy cheeks time lol.Attachment 16023

On my doorstep but don't fish it that often - will be doing so now over the next few weeks plus a lot of bank walking.

I would love to win this series and will give it my all, however there are a few big names just over my shoulder waiting for me to slip up.

Next 3 months are going to be interesting for sure, Matrix, Maver, Preston and the Big One "The Weekender" lol.

16lb Col, would have been 60 ish I recon if the river hadn't risen so quickly, don't think I've ever seen it come up that quick before, drew T9 so had to wade to it, started fishing at 11 by 1 it had gone from my knees to an inch off the top of my waders, had to back out as it was getting a bit dodgy for my liking, had 3 barbel and lost 3 to hook pulls " very strange" the hook pulls.
Down the vineyards this Sunday Top pool never fished it but will try and make it 4 club wins in a row lol.
I joined willow creek while I was down there on Sunday
