With fuel becoming more expensive the cost of travelling to the match is becoming a bigger percentage of the total cost. Thats where the intersite series is good as it gives the local members a chance to fish a venue near to them. I tend to restrict my matches to a 100 mile round trip with the ocasional excursion further a field. The beauty of being in the midlands is we are spoilt for choice. Probably my favorite venue at the moment is the Riddings which is about 10 minutes away.

In terms of how much I pay, usually up to £6.50 a peg for club matches and up to £15 all in for opens. If you compare it to watching a football match, £30 for 90 minutes of depresion then fishing is cheap.
