Default my way ?

I had this problem many times, usualy when the son loaded my reels and i decided to fish into the wind or side on to it. I found that loading to around 2 mm inside the lip of the spool and loading with the reel on the rod handle, it wasnt a problem any more. I helped to keep the right tension by placing a pencil through the centre of the supply spool then cupping the spool between my feet gently with the pencil placed under my insteps, whilst sitting back in comfort (im lazy like that). the tension is simply a matter of adjustment of the foot pressure to the sides of the spinning spool. its darn fast too i fill 2 reels with 200 yards each in no time. Hope this might help. or at least be something to consider for the future. Cant imagine why there isnt a stand to do the same job on the market yet?
