Default Wainwright Walk High Street and Harter Fell

Walked a Wainwright Classic walk yesterday in the Lake District.

High Street (2707ft) and Harter Fell (2540ft) via Rough Edge Ridge. Distance 8.2 Miles. Total Ascent 2100ft.

A really spectacular walk with some steep sections. Unfortunatley the views from the top of High Street were obscured by the low clouds.

My walk was somewhat hampered by twisting my ankle just before the ascent of Harter fell. It was ok for the next hour but on the descent back to the car park ( Aprrox 3 miles ) it became increasingly painfull. My two companions ended up carrying me down the last few hundred yards as I could no longer put any weight on it! A visit to Penrirth hospital resulted and a sprained ankle was diagnosed. Got my feet up today and feel a lot better for it .

Here are a few photos of the walk.
