On the number of anglers I would suggest the following - change the scoring system to be your best 8 results out of 10 - then you can turn up with 8, 9 or 10 anglers (preferably 10)..... each team would need to pay pegging for 10 pegs even if they turned up with 8 on the day. This would mean a change from the sections of 4 scoring to an overall scoring system.... peg the venue out with anglers spead evenly but then just find out where each angler has come in the match - the winner gets 1 point second 2 etc... then just add up your best eight and thats your team score.
