Intersite West
Kennet & Avon Canal Rowde and Devizes town pounds
April 13th
40pegs

Draw 8am
Fish 10-3

Fishery Rules

Pike do NOT count ( you may retain in seperate net if you wish)
No Blood and Joker

Advised to bring 2 nets as some sections could produce ton weights.

In the main this section of canal is broken into pounds and we will be using 9 pounds for 10 sections, 2 sections will be tightly pegged and 1 section will be split (2 pegs in one pound and 2 in another), the reason for this is to situate everyone in the best areas and to avoid overhead power cables, one pound in particular will have only 10 paces between swims but the water is 60 yards wide with weights likely to exceed 60 pounds if not 100 pounds, please appreciate that the tight pegging should be rewarded with superb fishing. ( I have not included any pegs I would not be willing to fish myself)

Along with your standard canal tackle please come equipped with feeder rods and reels suited to casting fair distance with strong lines, carp from 10- 30 pounds are regulalry caught from this stretch along with large tench and bream, I doubt very much that this will be a small fish match. Depths average around 3-4ft so rigs on power top 2s should suffice.

Boat traffic and cyclists will be prolific but they are used to anglers so dont worry about them, please be courteous to the non angling public. The boats improve the fishing.

I have arranged off road parking for all anglers pegged in sections D - J ( anglers in H,I and J will have a fair walk so please come with trolleys ) Anglers fishing A-C sections should be able to find parking along the canal.

Any anglers with mobility issues should arrange for their team captain to speak with me and I will allow those anglers to be placed in A and B sections which only require a short walk.

The draw will be conducted at Seend Social Club ( 2 miles from venue) where breakfasts and drinks can be purchased, this is a volunteer operation so I will need confirmation of breakfast numbers no later than end of Feb, again team captains should relay this info to me. ( I will forward team captains a map in due course ) Brekkies will cost roughly 4 quid.

Pegging fee will be £5.00 ( some money has gone to secure off road parking )

Pools will be paid as follows ( based on 40 fishing )

1st £60
2nd £40
3rd £30

Sections @ £15 paid by default.

Can team captians please supply full match fees of £120.00 no later than April 1st. The venue has already been paid for so if you can arrange this any sooner it would be appreciated.

I think thats it but if anyone has any questions please feel free to get in touch

Cheers
