keep it simple the more complicated the more prone to tangles
i normally use a fixed patenoster tied vie a 4 turn water knot or a double over hand loop attach a snap swivel to this end allow you easy change for whether using open ended or block.
The "dink dink" I normally use on running water with a blockended feeder, basically it's a big loop ( about a foot)which contains a free running swivel, then a series of smaller loops tied at the end of this
