Power top twos essentially replace a traditional match top 3. They are made of a stronger grade of carbon and with only one joint are stronger. Carp and hollow elastics should e run through both sections. Most poles this will typically give you between 8 and 11 foot.

This CAN be a bit long, if you find this to be the case use a winder bung and have the elastic on dacron, braid or fly backing enabling you to use a length of elastic a section and a half long (if this makes sense lol)


Canal work as you say, a tradtitionla match top two (usually around 6 foot) should be fine.
