Target species is F1's and carp.
Venue tows slightly and normally a bit of wind - not too much.
Depths vary between 5ft and 1ft, rigs required for bottom and top of shelf.
Rigs are required to pick up the tow which is in the opposite direction to the wind.

Simon,
I think I am right in saying F1s are the ones without barbels if thats right then I think they feed slightly different to carp with barbels. The carp uses its barbels to search the lake bed for particles of food so maybe a strong smelling bait hard on the bottom is best.
Fish without barbels are more likely to feed by sight and therefore a lighter coloured pellet lifted off the bottom may be better for f1s. So for f1s I would use a shotting pattern that gives a slow fall through the last 18 inches of water and keep lifting it. Move the bottom shot closer to the hook if missing bites.
