hook wise i'm a bit of a fan of the b611 barbless but only in a size 18 for my general pole work in summer coupled to a 6/8 or 8/10 drennan bungee. usually to .11mmm or .13mm pwerline. never had one straighten and had fish to 14lb although most venues i fish on pole have smaller carp. also like the b911 again 18 to 16 i'm a bit of a small hook person seems to hold ok on the pole in smaller sizes. also like the middy range of solids 6/8 orange 8/10 yellow and 10/12 pink . if using a larger bait ie catmeat i will just hair rig it.
