Having a Rive doesnt make you a better angler, nor does having the best pole. I would never have paid the true rrp of my rive £1500.00. Its a shame the bloke I brought it off had more money than sense. He then went on to buy the brand new milo which he is now selling because shock there is a new rive out.

I was happy to keep fishing on my 10 year old boss box, until my mate told me how much he wanted for it, and the fact that he had only used it 17 times due to spending 6 months in asia every year.

Lets put it like this, when you get on a rive you can see why they cost so much and sell alot. Its an awsome seat box ahead of anything in the field, why is every tackle company robbing the rive frame, and getting them made in china at a smaller price because they no its the market leader.

I think any angler who has match fished for a period of time, will have been battered of the next peg by an angler who has a wicker basket a £10 rod, £2 reel etc. Is that not the beauty of our sport that you dont have to spend £1,000.00s to compete.
