i fish that way all the time it one of the best ways to fish it is easy to make one up and it is easy even to put the float on as well.. just make a loop out of a piece Dacron then tie a knot in the elastic.. then put the Dacron above the knot put elastic over the loop of Dacron then pull the Dacron through its self then pull down to the knot.. know the sleeve is made from a rubber cone that that they use for ledgering if you go into a fishing shop they know what you want.. now cut the cone to the size of your tip so it sits just nice to the tip,, now pull the Dacron is through the cone i use a baiting needle to do this job done.. know to connect your float make one big loop then make a small loop. you will now have two loops.. one big and one small, now put your fingers in the big loop and with your finger pull the main line through to make a loop now push through Dacron the loop then pull the main line dune that it oh the small loop is for taking it off just pull it and off it comes..
