Ryan just absorb as much info off people as you can if your pleasure fishing and see someone bagging ask them if you can sit behind them and watch you'll pick up a lot try to ask questions but not to the point of getting on there nerves some people can be touchy, try walking around with the scales at wiegh ins after matches and ask those that have caught how they did it.

It's good to be well prepared but don't take it the extreme, it's only the stuff in the water that catches fish - Most importantly learn as much about feeding and reading how and why to change the way your feeding in my opinion it's the most important aspect of fishing.
