I use Drennan supper specialist sink braid 8Lb stuff had no problems with it, seems to sink better after a couple of uses. Had the 6Lb stuff before that but my line clip cut it up a bit, still not figured out how it happened, as I never had that problem when using nylon with the same reel.
I use it on the river only as my club does not allow it on its waters for fear of lifting the scales of the fish.
Have to say I think it is great on the river.
