Fished it Yesterday and finished with 40lb + on bridge pool I think ? Willows had a evening contest on so was unfishable.

I had 3 carp all around 8-9 lb - 3 around the 5lb mark - 1 about 2lb - tench about 1lb and half a dozen roach 6oz ish each.

Could of had a lot more lost several good fish and one big fish that I though was taking me and the pole in....

Best method is to fish shallow about foot deep they will take off the top but get spooked easy the margins very close in also do very well but you can get pestered by the roach.

There was a evening match just finishing when I packed up on Willows pool but was that tired I didnt hang around for the weigh in but the fishery team give you all the info and even walk around telling everyone what methods are working and best places to fish.

The venue was pretty packed out and I didnt get much choice of pegs but I was catching more than others so the shallow approach worked well as I started with this from the off fishing 11mm halibut on a banded hair spraying 3mm pellet over the top.

Switched to pole and floating bread near the end as they all come up to bask but they are spooked very easily.
