Fished canal pool on thursday.Pellet seemed the best method.Tried paste,caught but missed too many iffy bites.they took the pellet much better.Caught on the deck 3 meters out,and up in the water at about 6 meters.Didnt bother trying maggot,but a bloke i was with did and struggled.The chap i was with fished only two feet from the bank and caught plenty on the pellet.The match there was fished on top pool and the winner had just over 100lb.I think peg 3[but i wouldnt swear on it].Some fished pellet,but one bloke fished corn down the sides and had next to nothing for two hours then ended up with 80+lb.As per usual you need to pick what you are best at and fish that bait.Dont forget a bit of slop for up in the water,and i caught quite a few tapping the pole in the water.Good luck,
