It might be considered to be unfair that so many big matches are won from end pegs but aint that what fishing is all about.
The fairer it becomes the less people have a chance to qualify.
What would you rather see.
lets say 5 top anglers fish an 100 peg match.
1. It is a perfect venue where all the pegs are equal and it comes down 100% to ability, that means that 95% have very little chance of winning before the draw has even been made.
2. The venue is peggy with 10 pegs that can win the match, the 5 top anglers only have a 1 in 10 chance that they will draw a potential winning peg.this greatly increases the possibility of one of the other 95 anglers winning the match before the draw has been made.
3. If only 1 peg can win then all the anglers have an equal chance that they can win the match at the draw bag.
