What scott says in point 3 is exactly what happend 2 years running at woodlands because the lakes are rectangular you end up in a line of aprox 20 anglers and the only one's with a realistic chance of winning are the end pegs. The only angler to come close to winning from a non end peg was phill ringer who was 1 off the end pegf and had aprox 107lb. So in the match there were 20 end pegs so 130 anglers really didn't have a chance.
I will have to come clean i actually drew an end peg and blew it

, i was so shocked and instead of rethinking my plans stook with pellet and paste instead of fishing up in the water. I went down the edge later on and had 58lb on meat. The peg was worth at least 90lb and i am still kicking myself. The end peg behind me and opposite the winner only had 2 carp, so just drawing the end pegs is not the be all and end all, venue knowledge and ability come into it.
If blockers had been put in the corners on this match it would have brought in the 130 anglers to the match.
