Default Hooks help...

I have used Drennan Barbless Carp Feeder hooks for my carping for a number of years, but I think a wider gaped hook would be better. Also, something perhaps a little stronger (yes, really!).

The two I've looked at are the Fox Series 2 Extra Strong and the Korum S3.

Having used Fox Series 2 Match Carp, I know that the size 20 is more like a regular size 14, is it the same in the extra strong? So should I choose size 16 if I want a hook closer to a regular size 12? Is the Series 2 Extra Strong thick enough in the wire to be a contender when judged against the Drennan?

Having used Preston hooks, which I find go blunt very quickly, will the Korum stand up to tons of carp? How do they measure up for size and wire thickness against the Drennans?

Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Steve
