This is my first season fishing after a 30+ year break so I'm still locating fishing places round Sleaford Lincs. Last Sunday junior and I thought we would get an early start after scoping a fishery on the net near Grantham, turns out to be a holiday site with no day fishing, so off to another site recommended by the local tackle shop (Dave's Peg Sleaford) got there to find a no kids rule. I can understand probs she may have had but it was a bit tight especially as he was supervised by me (a 50 year old kid)
Any way we went to the Priory lakes fishery in
Ruskington nr Sleaford, best to access from the A153.
a two lake venue that we know has carp (commons and mirror), roach and tench, well thats what we caught.
there is a no bread and floating bates rule, probably due to the marauding flock of geese but they don't stay long in your swim.
pegs are a fiver for one rod and kids are free if they share peg.
loads of car parking too.
we had a great day and will be back this weekend
