The best floats are the ones you steal off your friends after softening them up with a luncheon meat and mustard sandwich!
My best advice would be to keep loose feeding with the sandwiches and fish a short line between tip and float also make sure your paste is very soft
Maybe a change to a different exotic type of meat would bring extra tips from your angling mates
