Lodge Farm, Scrooby
Anyone familiar with Lodge Farm Fishery, & more to the point 'Top Pond' ?
I have seen the lake (very picturesque) but the dozen or so times I've been to Lodge over the years have been matches on the other lakes.
Anyway, just checked the web site (lodgefarmfisheries) & a profile of the lake shows it to be 6-7ft deep up to about 15ft out, it then drops to 16ft deep (hell of a shelf !). It also says it's predominantly a silver fish lake & bigger fish should be considered a bonus if caught.
I have a match on there tomorrow & I'm just wondering how to fish it if I draw on a deep peg, I've never fished the slider float but would it be a good time to start ? Or should I get a few deep rigs tied up today.
If you check out the web site you will know as much as I do & any thoughts on how you would approach it would be gratefully received. Also need to take into account it could be very windy tomorrow & I may end up in a cross wind which might rule out the long pole as an option ??
Thanks in advance for any helpful comments.
