I still park my bum on an old ASI and have got a spare for if that should ever wear out. I use original Normark float rods that must be 15 years or more old and feeder and bomb rods of similar vintage. The ONLY bit of tackle that really matters are the items that present the bait to the fish the rest of it just gets it to where the fish are.
