How many times have you been so close to framing or winning a section and if you're really honest, what cost you was the ten minutes looking for a bonus because you could see Joe Matey bagging? And when it came to the weigh in, you beat the angler you were concerned about!
In one of the other threads a couple of weeks ago, I talked about my ruthless attitude this year. That was what I was talking about: being single minded and ignoring the bankside rumours.
But equally, you must accept that you are there for a day's fishing, so don't pack up early, keep plugging away and the time spent will pay off eventually.

Very true that, I have noticed on occassion that at times you think you're well off the mark but come the weigh-in things are a lot closer than you'd think, especially in winter matches - funny how other peoples fish always look a lot bigger when they're netting them on the other side of the lake.
