Hey Everyone

I am fishing a venue where there are two predominant methods. One is paste at 6-7 metres. The other is the paste bomb.

No problem with the paste on the pole.....never heard of the paste bomb!

The local tackle dealer I called said that i should use the bomb in conjunction with a paste/meat spring (like the Korda ones) on a hook hair (size 10 or 12 hook, PR28 or similar). Paste should be moulded around the bomb and some on the hook/spring. I would guess that the hook is on a pretty short tail, say 12 inches This lot then needs to be cast anywhere between 25 and 45 yards tight to lilypads in the middle of the pool.

Anyone else have any experience of this method or any tips they can offer? The dealer said that the same method has won the vast majority of the opens this year at this venue.
