I'm not an expert but i prefer the Drennan feeder (as shown)

2 of the 3 flights are weighted so it always lands the same way up, i use 8-10lb mainline with a hair rigged hook on about a 4" hook length. If you don't know how to load the feeder with ground bait do a search on google, you'll find many articles on the subject even a video or 2!
Remember, a loaded method feeder is a heavy old lump you need a bit of power, I use either a Korum twin tip or quiver 12" rod.

The setup is a bolt rig and will normally result in the fish hooking themselves, the swivel is only pushed in the bush so will easily come out if the feeder gets snagged up.
