Match Report
Dog Lane Fishery
Middle Lake
Napton Warwickshire

November 18th

Middle Lake 10 pegs

1st Alan Hancox (Team Lollipop) Peg23 11lb 5oz Pole/Maggot/Carp & Bream

2nd Andy Judd (Daventry) Peg29 3lb 13oz Pole/Maggot/Bream & Silvers

3rd Harry Harrison (Warwick) Peg25 11oz Pole/Maggot/Skimmer Bream

A week of rain and a hard frost the night before put the fishing barometer on poor this week.

First place went to Alan Hancox of Team Lollipop who drew peg23 on the far bank. Feeding very small amounts of micros and fishing either maggot or corn on the hook Alan managed to coax half a dozen small carp for 9lb and 2lbs worth of silvers to weigh in 11lb 5oz.

Second place went to Andy Judd of Daventry on peg29 who weighed in a mixed bag of small silvers and a skimmer bream for 3lb 13oz.

Third place went to Harry Harrison of Warwick who only weighed in at the insistance of 'friend' Alan with one skimmer for 11oz.

The rest of the field remained fishless and biteless for the full five hours, despite this the hardy souls are coming back next week!

The draw for next weeks match will be SATURDAY at the Kings Head Pub Napton 9am and fishing from 10:30am to 3:30pm. (Light permitting)
