Thumbs up Woodlay - Cornwall

My family and I enjoyed a week down here last summer. There are six small lakes in a secluded valley near Looe in Cornwall and the only people allowed to fish them are residents.
The lakes are stuffed with silvers and most have big Carp which roam around in packs. No bait bans or stupid pellet preferences here, all the owner asks is that you respect the fish and don't drop litter. He even has a Portacabin where you can leave your tackle overnight near the lakes and it's so secluded nothing has ever gone missing.
The kids loved it, set them both up with a cheap pole/whip and they caught loads. Ideally located near to attractions like the Eden Project so we usually fished for a couple of hours before breakfast, went out for the day and fished again after tea until dark!! Top stuff!!

We really enjoyed it, well worth the long trip. Forgot to mention that he doesn't allow keepnets or barbed hooks!! Looking at the new website he's also got rid of the old portacabin and put in a new cabin for tackle and restocked - double bonus!!!
