It is going to take about a month to dig it with some proper big equipment. Then we have to leave it 3 months for the water to mature before stocking it with the initial few fish as we are not going to go mad to start with. Then there is the planting and landscaping (plus I have to build a quarter of a mile road to get to it!) - I want it to mature a bit before anyone even comes on the site - however the longer I leave it the more expence for me in feeding bills for the fish! So all in all I would be happy if we could get some limited numbers on it this time next year realistically.

As of today there is about 1 week left until the construction of my lake is finished - to say that there is 2.5 acres of water at an average of 6ft deep its not bad going to say they have dug and landscaped it in 3 weeks!

I have been videoing the whole thing every day and should be able to post up a timeline video so everyone can have a watch. I'm just impatient at the moment to have it finished.

Yes its not far from the centre of askern, towards moss and off Heyworth lane.

The video will probably be up in a few weeks time once the whole thing is finished to my satisfaction as at the moment it is just a massive mud pit!
