Default Pellets!

just wondering has anybody got any secrets, tips or match winning tactics on fishing the pellet.I fish a water which is basically out and out pellet and the same lads seem to be framing. obviously they keep what they are doing to themselves, but what could they be doing? everyone else is fishing practically the same method except not catching as much. The lake is peggy but they dont seem to draw the out and out fliers, carp average 3lb and 5foot average depth. And taking nothing away from them i dont believe it is all down to their ability.

I had a lot of success midweek with 4 6 and 8mm pellets in the feeder that had been soaked in mallassas and halibut additives. With the 8mm hair rigged.

I was on the main lake at birkwood farm fishing about 18metres out. It was my 4th visit to birkwood, and this was by far the most deadly tactic i had used, after trying few other things.

You could also try getting some madras powder and putting that in the water when you soak your pelletts.

Luke are they fishing up in the water, on the bottom, using a feeder and what fishery is it?
The guys on here can help you refine your tactics, but will need a little more info.
Fishing the matches you should have an idea as to how the lads framing are fishing.

Neilio.

lately the matches have been won with pellet on the deck fishing the pole at about 12metres. My usually attack would be to plumb and find the shelves, usually these are at 6metres and then 13metres.I would kick the swim off with a pot of 2mm pellets and a few hookers. Then leaving it to settle chuck the tip out looking for indications. whilst building the pole line up with little and often approach until finally having a look. i can usually find an odd carp on the pole and sometimes if i suffer liners i will come shallow and see if they will have a go, as sometimes the frame will be up in the water.

The guys who are winning have obviously sussed out how to feed, when to change, whether they want hard or soft pellets, got their rigs right etc etc.
