Try Tubertini 808's and/or Kamazan B911's in sizes 18 to 16 for 4mm pellets and 16 to 14 for 6mm pellets or even up to 12 to10 for bigger pellets or 2/3 smaller ones on one hook. If they're good enough for Steve Ringer, they're good enough for me. Mustad Stillwater Power work well also. If you have problems keeping 4mm pellets on, just stick em on to the hook point only, don't try feeding them round the bend. Most local tackle shops keep the B911's and the Mustads. If you have difficulty getting the 808's try BENWICK SPORTS or CLOUGHBALLYMILL ANGLING CENTRE mail order. I've used both. Both give quick/excellent service.

hi stonecold ive tried loads but the one iv ended up usin is the preston pr 21 its a thin wire hook but compare them with other models in the other pr range they am slightly bigger an 18 on a 4mm will sit great and 16 or 14 on 6mm pellet i use the 12's for paste fishin cause the hook size is bigger than the rest just have a look at them you will be surprised ive had fish to 15lb on them without a problem ive only ever had one open wen the fish ripped the rod of the rest try em ill swear by them and cause the size is slightly bigger the pellet will be just right on them

Like Chris I use the Gamakatsu g-point pellet hooks and find they give a very good hold and the pellet sits nice on the bend I also like the g point gamma black for my silver fish a good fine hook with a little in reserve if I hit a bigger fish and one of the best all round hooks I have found is G Point GP 103 All-Rounder a cracking hook nice wide gape very sharp but it wont be to everyones taste as it is silver in colour but i have never found this a prob have had carp to 6 lb on em but I would not use em for that kind of fishing

B911 's chap.... 20's and 18's are fine - just match the elastic correctly and you will get anything out on these.
