Question flavours

hi i went into my local tackle shop today and seen a bag of what i could only describe as
bird food in garlic chillie & plain
what flavour do you reccomend for fishing a river (weaver)

Mate, if I was you I'd just forget about flavours, fish like bait for what it is, just plain maggot, caster and worm on the weaver I reckon, fished it a few years ago with 2 hooks!

None of them, not sure what it is you are thinking of buying, I dont know what you are fishing for, but here are some baits that are known to catch fish, maggot, caster, worm, corn, bread, and pellet. now would you believe that most of them will also accept some sort of additive, wether the additive catches more fish is not scientifically proven or its a confidence thing.
You say you are fishing the Weaver which has seen no anglers baits for 3 months, but might just have seen a bit of bread fed to ducks, worms from the bankside, corn is a highly visual bait, ok you may not catch but you probably wont on a grain of bird seed but it will not have cost the earth to try.
I hope you take my post as a light hearted one and not one thats taking the mick.
