hi all, could someone who has had results in matches please explain to me what and how do you fish the cone,i am from the south and i hear some of the midland and northern anglers talking about this method. It could be that we use it down here, but use a different name.

I would be grateful for all the info possible and what bait is used

The Cone was working at Gold Valley last winter.
Under their rules, you couldn't attach the teabag to the hook, it had to be clipped to the bomb, so the Cone allowed the feed to be closer to the hookbait. Not sure if the rules on the teabag have changed now though?

Hi upinthewater i fish the pellet cone when fishing at wetlands north notts in the winter, if the fishing is hard or slow its worth using if the fish are having it i would use either the pellet feeder or pellet method. Andy finlay developed it and there is a video showing him using it, basicly i use soaked micro pellets squashed into a cut down bung pass a bait needle through the pellet cone and pull the hook length through which as a hair rigged pellet on, then push the pellet slug out of the cone and attache the loop of the hook length onto a swivel clip attached to the bomb. You will have to use a slightly larger bomb than normal and when cast into the swim the pellet breaks down around the hook bait. Whilst this is in the swim have another hook length ready and go through the same proceedure so when you retrieve the gear(hopefully with a fish attached ) you can clip up and cast out straight away.

Also in this months match mag he as done a article on the pellet bomb which is the pellet cone taken a stage further.
