Default Method Feeder Mix

Hi, what is the best method mix on the market for Match Fishing on commercials, carp in the 3-6llb range? Also best hookbait combination?
Cheers

Default method mix

i only use a 70/30 mix of fishmeal and fine brown crumb. The fishmeal and crumb i buy from a pet supplies in bulk and it works out a lot cheaper. Most shop-bought bags of method mixes are fishmeal based, just some are more courser than others, and have a colouring in them.
I personally like a fine mix on the dry side with no freebies and have either corn or dead-reds on the hook. I sometimes use a dye or flavouring and sonu baits and van den eynde have some very good gear on the market right now.
cheers
upinthewater.

hi mate i think if its carp the target i wud say pellet might be the better option but its each to there own, if using 2mm pellets on the method either hair rigged meat corn or banded pellet mate but i used a 8mm white boilie last week on a spike and had good results i was getting quicker bites cause its somethin that stands out well if boilies aint alowed use a white pellet banded, but the above ground baits am all good mate ur spoilt for choice

2mm pellets mixed 70/30 with special g. the groudbait helps the method to get to the bottom without breaking up and also creates a cloud on the way down. over dampen your pellets and then 'dust' off with the special g until its quite a dry mix

Agree a fishmeal based groundbait as the basis, but I always add a handfull of feed pellets and a couple of handfuls of blitzed (not too finely) vitalin. The particles in the vitalin and the feed pellets keep the fish grazing over the area and hold them in the swim longer.
For hookbaits? Pellet, dead reds, match boilies, sweetcorn, meat ...... I wouldn't predict but I would make sure I had all with me and see what the fish want on the day.

i use 1/3 baittech super g and 1/3 dynamite bairs method mix and the rest atomic cloud which is just the powder to make the mix fizz, and it is literally like a loud i put some in a tank and it explodes under water !

Have a look into PACK BAITS - its a big thing in america - basically you can make some absolutely deadly mixes just from stuff you buy in the supermarket and of course its a load cheaper than buying in the fishing shop...

Try mixing micros prepared (put in baitbox and fill with water, put on lid and turn baitbox over so water drains out, leave 20 mins then perfect) then get some layers mash and vitalin 50-50 and give it a bit of a blast in the liquidiser not too much as you want some lumps....lquidise a hand full of salmon and prawn cat buscuits add some tomato ketchup and water mix everything together..... makes a right mess but them carps go crazy for it...
