Default Carp vader - Jelly Pellets

Has any one used these before, i won severall tubs of pellets in 4mm to 10mm pellets at the big bash. I used the 4mm and 6mm's as hook bait on friday and found that they all float even with an hook in them. There was no mention on the tub that they were to be used popped up or as floaters and i assumed you could use them straight from the tub. Do these pellets normally float or are you supposed to put them in water and pump them like expanda's.

Hi mate i tried 4 different tubs and used a bout 5 out of each, i only noticed it when i went to change hookbait and threw the old one in the water so i put another on the hook and dropped it in the water it still floated. All the types did the same, the only way they sank was when i put it in water and squezed the air out.

The types were Haemarine 4mm, Polar strawbury pellet 4mm and shnitzel wurst 6mm. I have just tested them in a glass of water and the 2 jelly pellets stil float but the polar pellet know sinks.

Thumbs up

I have had best results on the halibat crab straight on the hook method feeder fishing at Larford DNW.

I have caught a few extra fish on the polar ice pellet as a change from expander on the match lake also at Larford in the winter months when trying to qualify for the Classic.

I keep my hookers in the bait fridge and out of direct sunlight and had no problems as of yet.

hi

right have just had a play with a few tubs of pellets ,

if you give any floaters a gentle sqeeze they all should sink evry time .either just dry sqeeze or in a little water , either way you shouldnt have any problems
just been through a dozen tubs and had no problem at all

i use them all the time as do all the other lads , cant say ive come across this but hey , try what ive told you and iam sure you will be ok
