Red face swim stim pellets help

I can't seem to get the right consistency with the swim stim hook and feed pellets, I have tried different lengths of time soaking them but they break up when I insert the hook, what am I doing wrong ?
Jeff.

Buy the pre-prepared one in the square box about £2.50 a box but they will last all summer if you shut the lid all the time and they stay on well. If you want to try again 30 mins covered in water then drain the remaining water off put in bait tub with lid on upside down for another 30 or so and they should be OK

Jeff try this way what i do is the night before is, if i am using 4mm i let them soak for 4 minutes or if they are 6mm for minutes and so on. then after the time is up i drain the water off leaving just a tiny bit of water at the bottom of the bait box about 2mm deep.. leave them overnight in the fridge walla they are just right for the hook, eve when i am colouring them i add the colour to the water be it red or green or flavouring them just the same.. before i forget on the day you are fishing give them a spray to damping them, or they will float not much just 3 or 4 sprays will be good every hour or so that's it hope that this will help you m8......

Jeff, All the above is good info. My own way is very similar to 'bagging up art'.
This works with ANY type or brand of pellet,
The night before fishing simply cover the pellets with water for 2 minuets then drain off the excess water put lid back on tub, Shake then place in fridge untill the morning, When you take out of fridge give them a shake to seperate them, Open tub to check if they have all gone rubbery if you think they are still too hard to hook add a tiny bit of water but they should all be rubbery and ready to use. One extra tip! put some in a tub of water on your bait tray then if the fish require a soft bait you can give them one, Also if you do expanders put hooked bait in water and squeeze out air so the hooked pellet just sinks "this will give you a ballanced hook bait" fools them every time.
Now go and bag up!.....
