Default groundbait

I am going to make my ground bait tonight, I am even going to give pva bags a go too, so when I get to the ponds with the old man tomorrow we can bomb in the pva bags first thing with some groundbait pellets etc scattered to attract the fish in and get them eating while we rig up the rods.

so anyone got any real bang opn tips about making groundbait the night before, what sort of texture should it be and what is the best way to store it.

also any recommandations for some really smelly additive, i will be nipping ot the tackle shop this lunch, 12.30, so if you can pop the suggestion down below i will look in before I go and take the ideas with me.

cheers

pete

teepot tip................ Never Never throw your GB in untill you have plumbed up (unless you know the water really well ) nothing worse than putting in your gb first...then plumbing to find you have a foot of water or you put it over a sunken obstacle ..Experiance trust me

i wasnt thinking of using water direct.

i have some hemp seed and corn from last sat in a tub, so was going top use that for 'liquid' and i have also bought halibut oil. i have read that is a very good stinky attractor, so i was going to use that also.

I have roughly 2.5kg of grounbait mixes to mix up,

how many table spoons of the oil should i use per 1kg of bait mix?

roughly speaking.

I know you want it to a crumb texture, I am also thinking of making up some bread crumb and adding about 500g of that too.

add my castors and boillees, and bingo i will be filling up pva bags all night, double bagging as i heard that is the only way to go for making sure it stays intact before hitting the bottom.

might even crush a few boillees up and stick that in the mix too.
