If you can keep it out of the sunlight and the air then it won't go pale !

So place into a re-sealble bag and only take enough that your going to need !

Usually keep mine in poly bags in a cool bag and just take out what I need. Never bother with freezer blocks just freeze a couple of bottles of water and then I have a nice cold drink when they defrost.

You cant keep it from going pale

you may as well keep it in water if you dont dust it up, this has two advantages no flies, but most importantly your hook bait will go pale anyway once its in the water so you may as well have your loose feed looking like your hook bait

One thing I like to do is have a few dozen peices sitting in the sun it gets a nice skin and rarely falls off if hooked through the skin, its almost like when we used to microwave or fry it off before we took it to the bank
