the soft fatty stuff is great for feeding you normally find it cheap too just buy a good one for your hook bait, the fatty stuff sinks slower and at different speeds

A little trick with the fatty ones is get the meat out of the tin and run it under some hot water all the suface fat dissolves then put it through your cutter, once chopped run it under the hot water again, it will leave you with a chopped meat free of surface fat, thats exactly how I prep my tulip meat

Guys a little tip with the cheap fatty meat, thats the stuff I uise all the time and at 6 quid a case for big tins it cant be turned down

get the meat out the can and run it under warm water, put it through your cutter then run the cut meat under warm water again hey presto no fat and nice clean easy to handle meat

well I expect to hook a fish on most bites so if it does I dont mind

I use Midland for the hook and the cheap Tulip to feed, Midland is as firm as you will get also you need to use the correct size hook

Morrisons Premium takes some beating as it sinks straight from the tin/cutter and has a nice firm texture. The problem with the cheaper meats is that unless you de grease them before fishing (a messy job) or keep them under water (also messy when fishing) they float. As long as you keep it out of the sun the Morrisons goes straight down.
