Look out for the tesco's value frozen stuff

its 40p for a 1.2 kilo bag or the good stuff is 89p for the same size, I cant tell the difference and the frozen bags are much less hassle than tins

Not tried the frozen stuff.
Niel, I wonder if its the ice in it that makes it float

I dont no if like with clothes im a bit of a label person haha. But as with the meat post i only use Green Giant corn. It is more expensive, but i find the kernals if thats the right word to be better, they are much softer than the cheape stuff you buy, i got a tin of the cheaper stuff off a mate and it seemed somewhat flat, hard and lighter in colour, the Green Giant corn seems much fresher.

Polepot your supposed to de frost it first

seriously though never seen it float off in any numbers maybe 1 or two grains over a few bags that eventually sink anyway.

as for the texture and the quality the one thing you can garauntee from frozen corn is the corn will be softer than the tinned variety its due the the breakdown after freezing, and because its budget stuff it isnt graded therefore you get a huge mixture of sizes which is exactly what you want.

it has one other advantage that I like its blast frozen its frozen solid in a few seconds its is as if each grain was frozen individually and you can pour it out of a bag still frozen, there is minimal liquid unlike the tinned variety so your paying for corn and not water and that sugar water is the horrid stuff that makes your pole feel as if its glued to your hands.
