Default Luncheon meat/Spam

Hi guys,

Anybody got any tips for hooking luncheon meat of spam? It always seems to fall off the hook...

a hair rig and some korda quick stops probably the best way to do it...or the old way a tiny bit of grass between the bend and the meat and just pull gently together...bobs your uncle

If your really struggling try frying it for a few seconds the night before on one side, it will put a hard skin on it just like when its been in the sun a while, and it will definately stay on the hook

Cut a cube of meat not to thick, push your hook straight through the meat and turn your hook to the side and it'll hold tight, I use a size 16 when using meat.

the fried way dont work for me only half a tin gets to the bankcant resist the dam stuff

try opening in a couple of days before using and keep it cover with water when fishing the sun will cause the fat to soften

Korum do packs of ready-made hair rigs with small plastic screws. I used one yesterday with a feeder and they are great for meat/soft pellets etc. You can buy the screws seperately as well if you want to use summat other than nylon for the hair. Flippin brilliant so they are.
