Because its so soft the only option I can think of is to leave it air dry a little before hooking it.
And then maybe putting 2 pieces on a hair with a baiting needle.
If your trying it on a feeder then 3/4 fill the feeder, put hookbait inside and gently squeeze in the rest.
I might give it a go myself next time I go, I suppose theres loads of supermarket food to try.
Maybe someone should start a thread with strange and unusual hookbaits....it would be a laugh.
Good luck trying,
Neilio.

We use a bent baiting needle, home made. With right hook size its a doddle.

father liam you surely know someone who fishes Kings Nordley or Elmbridge who could put you right.
By the way its now banned at Elmbridge

Put it into the microwave for a minute then turn it over for the same, bit messy, I stopped using it, worse than cat meat

Bait manufacturers have spent a lot of time & effort producing better & better baits, it always amazes me to see some anglers using food designed for human consumption sometimes pets . Now I'm not saying that fish don't eat them we all know they do, but in my opinion more fish are caught on more conventional baits. They are more user friendlier, I think that rather than putting all your effort into trying to catch a few fish on super market baits learn to feed properly with commercially produced baits like pellets and natural and you will definitely catch more. I thik the only bait that I use other than tackle shop bought is sweetcorn, but I think that is not fit for human consumption. Not every ones opinion I know but it is mine be intresting to hear other peoples though.
