Default Frenzied hemp

As I understand it this hemp is ready to use straight from the tin but does anyone carry out any sort of further preparation before fishing with it ? & is it as good/better than preparing your own ?
I'm planning on using it as another loose feed option (thru a pole pot) at Hallcroft now & over the winter (unless someone advises me otherwise !)

Thanks

I prefer to cook my own Ian, I find it's better for picking a grain out for the hook, but I always have a can in my bag, it's fine for feeding, but sometimes it's a bit short on oil, how this happens I'm not sure as it's cooked in the tin.

Buy the bait tec stuff rather than the dynamite, it's much better with plenty of suitable hookers.

try adding a spot of flavoured oil to give it a bit of an edge.
Chilli oil is best I've found but garlic is also good.
If you are allowed try liquidizing a tin, gives off a great slick.

Thanks for the replies lads.
Just out of interest, how long can you keep unused stuff (from the cans) in the fridge ? or would you just freeze it ?

Freeze it in an icecube tray and then take what you need for each session.
Don't refreeze it to many times as it will go mushy

Ian, have you thought of cooking your own - save a load of money.. just by uncooked hemp, put into a thermos flask and pour in the boiling water, fill up and close then leave over night and in the morning ready to use.

Simon, what ratio of hemp to boiling water do you use in the flask? 50/50?

50/50 is about right

better still get a baby burko

I do a gallon and a half at a time split it up and freeze it I use the giant hemp from Jollies at 29.99 for 20k or the regular hemp 23 quid for 20 kilo'sd its un nuked so it splits nice

if you want to cut down the cooking time soak it over night
