did you ever think you was at any point overfeeding? i would suggest you leave the cupping kit in the shed till next summer

nah even if i was over feeding the fish would have still been there eating my feebies and i didnt get any nudges or anything

Like Matt6900 I think you might just have fed too much and in all probability spooked any fish that may have been there, pots full of feed aint the way to go in winter unless they are really having it, a small pinch of pellet may have been better and then feed to the bites. Pinkies or squatt are in my opinion are a must now that the tempratures are dropping as they will catch anything that swims even carp.
