Holidays were great Steve

I would feed the inside heavy from the off with hemp and a little corn pick one side for that the fish will come late just keep alternating hook baits untill you find what they want, I have done well with cat meat but talking to a few people the paste seems to be doing well, the good thing about this place is you can fish and catch both sides on the inside so you can keep resting your peg. your really looking for around 18inches on the inside line

Now as for the islands you want to be up the shelf in the shallow water chop and caster was producing but im told its back to pellet again but dont go mad on the feed they back off if you feed more than a dozen a chuck, Iam told 12 inches deep regardless of depth seems to be the key, I typically have two rigs one set over depth so I can launch a large peice of meat up against the island still using a tiny float and let the meat anchor itself to the deck

If your in trouble drop down the shelf on the long pole and fish a little chop and caster I always nick a few lumps like this

If you draw around the bowl at the far end of wood pegs 16 to 25, 5 metres or just down the shelf picks up the lumps its quite deep down the shelf some places 6ft plus.

Hope that helps

Hows Lake John Fishing ? cant wait to get back there next week

Paul
