I've posted the following on MD's and TF so that we can hopefully sort things out once and for all.

Please read and comment appropriately.

Vince

Hi Gaz,

I'm sorry to hear you have decided to call it day but am not surprised.

Over the years things have changed from when the series was contended by just a few teams. (TF, MD's, AF and Talk Angling).

As the current Southern Intersite organiser the rules as I understand them are that for a new team to enter they had to commit to fish all area intersite matches. This is what I told Herbie when he enquired about TFC fishing the Southern Intersite. The problem with this is that if memory serves me right not all teams fished all matches last year (although I might be wrong).

Personally I'm happy for additional teams to take part BUT the difficulty in adding teams after venues have booked booked is if there are not enough pegs to accomodate the extra anglers and extra pegs connot be booked.

Certainly something needs to be sorted out before next year or else the series will fall apart and that will be a shame as it has always been great fun. To be honest now that the matches are not big money events I can't see what the problem is with other teams fishing, even if they are so called venue experts.

Lets be honest here, certain websites that already fish the series have anglers that know the venues like the back of their hand, MD's for instance have Nick Gilbert who knows almost every fish in Monk Lakes by name and has probably caught most of them!!!!!

I would like to see you carry on with the match and if neccesary just not count the points for the extra team if they are only fishing the one area

From what I've read on the sites involved pretty much everyone (there's always the odd one) thinks you've done a superb job in the past and the matches have been excellent.

The only way I can see the series continuing is if a set of rules are decided upon and agreed by all, the difficulty comes however in who actually comes up with a set of rules in the first place.

I still need to know what to do about TFC for this years series especially as the matches are coming round quickly.

Please, please, can someone make a decision.
