i respect your opinion but my point was should it be enforced on everyone else. and if your old enough to remember bodyline bowling i hope i dont draw down wind of you

CT different fisheries have different rules the same might just apply to match organisers, there are NO standard rules for the Intersite series so the organiser is free to run the match as he sees fit, after all hes the one that has taken the time to book a venue pay the deposit, doo the draw do the weigh in and pay out the prize winners, my guess is that he will have received little or no support fom anyone, be gratefull that he did because without him there would not be a match. Gaz obviously thinks that a ban on the floating pole / and floating baits would have made the match better and fairer I believe we should accept that.

response to bri g
just because floating pole is allowed (if it is ) wont mean that 40 anglers will be fishing it. infact as gaz states people will do what they favour for most it wont be the floating pole but for some it might be. and i disagree in the strongest possible terms with your view that a match organiser can impose any rule they see fit. i am a match organiser and have been for the last twenty years and i feel my job is to facilitate the logistical side of a match not become a one man ethical committee. i believe in keeping an open mind and i do enjoy our exchanges but i must reiterate my comment is in no way a critcism of gaz.

If you hadn't got your mate to help us out bushy I was seriously 'thinking' about it, not sure about being captain though
