Fishing in January is going to be some what different to mid April, about all you might learn is how wide and how deep it is, whilst maggots might be doing the business now, it could be worm and caster, or pellet and corn when you fish the match.

very true brian but there,s nothing better than knowing your venue beforhand and there,s no point fishing summer baits for winter fish. also it beats working.

ok we have enough for a team now the hard bit ( money). i will contact slider and get the s.p. re when he wants it. is there anyone out there wants to be captain??. dont be shy. i will also find out about fielding ten anglers as i believe it was eight to start with ( brian help) if eight i will offer the other teams the odd two so everyone can fish myself included. just noticed brians thread says 10 men per team so its ok.

i'll be captain if everyone is ok with that. i have a little experience at match fishing.
when you go friday get one of you to feed fishmeal crumb as if the skimbobs have a taste for pellets in the summer your get them over that now! i'm going to be doing it at seend park on sunday, as i b fishing a large match there.

If past history is anything to go by there will be some dropouts, so can I suggest that this thread be held open for a bit longer after all its only been up for 6days and there may just be others that up to yet have not put their names down.
