Darlo, you need to set up some up in the water rigs for the Ide - two rigs should suffice, something like a 0.10 to 18 and a 0.12 to a 14 - the heavier rig is in case you get pestered by little roach as they struggle to get the big hook in their mouth. You need to fish at 13M+ as in match conditions you are not going to get them much closer than this. Also worth setting up a deep rig for this line.

If you can reach the island with a pole then you can catch tight with pellet, but dont go mad feeding much, just fruit shoot pots. If you cant reach the island with the pole then small cage feeder with hair rigged pellet.

Let us know how you get on.

in addition to Oneabungs comments, depth down the track is around 6ft although i'd probably tie my rigs 7ft and cut them down as neccesarry, last time i fished here i laid a few inch on the bottom as it was quite windy so it paid off to tie them a bit longer. tight against the bank it can shallow up to about a foot. if fishing tight across for the carp dont fish too light, some of the carp are quite big and on my last match i had one out of at least 8lb. if fishing tight to the far bank on pole then use 4mm expanders on the hook but take a few 6's aswell just in case, and feed very sparingly with micros, if you feed too many the Ide might take over. good luck

Let the other sites come and see our info, we are not there on a WIN AT ALL COSTS basis we are there for a good day out and to meet the other lads off the site.... to win would be nice though.

We will fomulate a plan next week and PM everyone who is fishing with the ideas but at the end of the day its not a venue any of us really know so all info is going to be a little bit dodgy and therefore it is probably best each angler fishes to their strengths having been given a general idea.

Absolutely, fish to your strengths like you would anywhere else.

Simon, do we have a full team yet? I looked on maggotdrowners earlier and they have a full team and also a list of 11 reserves!
