As things stand the venues are booked for this year and the normal teams are attending. There is no rule that says a team must field a full team or get kicked out - if that were the case then none of the teams would qualify as I am sure over the last few seasons all have turned up short on occassion. Many members of other sites are also members of the forums which are members of the intersite series and often members of more than one of the bigger forums, if someone wants to fish in the intersite then they are free to apply to fish for any forum for which they are a member.

I think it is in the spirit of the intersite that members fishing for a team are regular contributors to the site they are fishing for as really this should not be an opportunity for ringers to be bought in to win an intersite round - it is a friendly series and an opportunity to meet up with other members of forums and not an open match - is that the way you see it Ian?

Teams that wish to enter the intersite series really need to be discussing this series NOW for next year,

As some of the venues if not all are already booked for 2009, adding teams could cause issues,

One thing is for sure the intersite organisers need to get there heads together and sort this out, maybe its time for a meeting of minds and sort out how this should move forward.

A live chat box should do the trick

Paul I aint being funny but a meeting of minds will not take place, such is the insular nature of many of the current match organisers, first of you would have a job at getting them to agree which sites chatbox to use , and my best guess is that there aint any recognised intersite coordinators notice i said coordinators as opposed to match organisers.

Well without some kind of structure this is going to get messy, I have seen allsorts of threads popping up across many boards stirring up what looks like a huge hornets nest

Default Northern Intersite challenge

Evning all,I am shaun,a mod off anglerscabin. Just to clarify, we were asked to put a team in the northern intersite and I was on the understanding that we only had to fish that match.

I have read your comments, and the comment posted by your mod and I have decided to drop our team out of the match.

I do however have a few points:

1. We are a fishing webSITE , and with the match being an interSITE challege I would have thought we automaticly qualify to fish it?

2. We are NOT venue experts by any stretch of the imagination.I personaly fish puddles only in the closed season,as I am on rivers lochs and ressys the rest of the year. The other lads are mainly club level anglers and dont fish opens etc. Langwith is nearly 60 miles away from us and I think there are 3 of us who have fished it.I think there is only me who has fished it twice.
It was ment to be a laugh, but as per usual, the jobsworths scared of any new competition have kicked up a fuss and spoilt it for us and the rest of the poeple who wanted a bit of a laugh and a chance to meet new anglers etc. Truth be told,we would have been pools fodder.

3.With the few people who clearly didnt want anglerscabin involved aside,I wish you all good luck and all the best on the day

Isn't the Intersite meant to be just a bit of fun?

I have answered Shaunmac by PM, outlining what the Intersites are all about, he now understands some of the responses and is I hope happy, yes they are about having the craic, but as with everything to do with teams there is the serious side to it and thats trying to win the overall series, ok theres no prizes as such just the bragging rights for a year. equally I am sure that TA would be happy to fish a match against Anglers Cabin at some time in the future or any other forum that throws down the challenge.
